AI audit

A two week audit that covers your whole team.

We find where AI and automation will remove manual work, put a value in hours and dollars on each opportunity, and hand you a roadmap in priority order. $3,000, fixed.

Two weeks from kickoff. A full refund if, at the findings presentation, it was not worth the fee.

Audits built on Fortune 1000 auditing engagements.

Who it is for

For companies of $50 million and up.

The audit needs repeatable processes with real volume, owners who can sit with us for a working session, and systems we can see. If one of those is missing, the honest answer is not yet, and we say so on the call, with what would change it.

How it works

Four steps across two weeks.

From kickoff to the findings presentation. From your side, plan on about two hours from you and about ninety minutes from each process owner.

  1. 1

    Kickoff

We sit down with you, agree the north star metric and the priorities behind it, and lock in the scope.

  2. 2

    Process reviews

Each process owner, and anyone relevant who comes up, shows us step by step how the work is done today.

  3. 3

    Analysis

We measure each process against what is possible, from the manual work being done today to the value AI and automation can add.

  4. 4

    Findings presentation

The report and the roadmap, presented to your leadership team.

At the end of week one you receive a short status note: what was reviewed, what we have found so far, and anything we are waiting on.

What you receive

The report, the roadmap and the findings presentation.

All of it is yours to keep.

The report

  1. The bottom line. One page: the north star metric, what we found, the top opportunities and what each is worth, and what to do first.
  2. Process inventory. Every core process in the business: its owner, its system, its volume, and whether we reviewed it, with the reason.
  3. Process documentation. One per process reviewed, with a flow diagram.
  4. Systems inventory. Every system those processes run on: who administers it, the license tier you pay for, what it already does at that tier, what it connects to, and where the data lives.
  5. Findings. One per opportunity: what happens today, what is possible, what it is worth in hours and dollars, why the gap exists, and what to do about it.
  6. The priority list. Every finding in priority order against the north star metric. The top ones go into the roadmap.
  7. Sources. Where every number came from: whose count, on what date, and the assumptions behind it.

The roadmap

The top opportunities, one page each: the owner, its place in the sequence, what it does, the systems and integrations it touches, the accounts or licenses it needs, the fix type, and the technical requirements a builder needs to start. Implementation is not included.

The findings presentation

One hour with your leadership team. We present the findings and the roadmap, top to bottom, and answer four questions: what to prioritize, what each one is worth, what to build first, and what the first 90 days look like.

A page from the report

Every finding names its cause and the source of its numbers.

Finding 3 of 11: vendor invoices are keyed by hand

Process: accounts payable, vendor invoice to payment. Owner: Controller.

What happens today. Each vendor invoice arrives by email, is keyed into the accounting system by hand, and is matched to the purchase order by eye. About 260 invoices a month at about 8 minutes each.

What is possible. The accounting system’s current tier includes invoice capture with purchase order matching. It is not switched on. Exceptions would still route to the clerk.

What it is worth. 35 hours a month today. 20 to 30 hours back a month, from the Controller’s own count on 12 May. At your loaded rate of $38 an hour, that is $9,100 to $13,700 a year.

Why it happens. The system can do it and is not configured.

What to do. Switch on invoice capture, map the three vendor formats, route exceptions to the clerk. Fix type: configuration of a tool you own. Sequence: first. Owner: Controller.

$3,000, fixed.

No hourly billing and nothing added later.

If it is not useful

If, at the end of the findings presentation, you do not believe the audit was worth the fee, tell us within five business days and we will refund it in full. You keep the report and the roadmap. You do not need to justify the decision.

The fee comes off the build

The full fee credits toward the first build phase if it is signed within 90 days of the findings presentation. Builds that come out of the roadmap are quoted as fixed-price phases, each with its own scope of work.

Yours to keep

Everything produced is yours: the report, the roadmap, the process documentation, and the systems inventory. Use them internally or with any partner you choose. There is no obligation to build with us.

Not included

Implementation. Changes to your systems, settings or licensing. Work on any process outside the request list. Anything after the findings presentation, unless it is scoped separately.

The first call

Is this the right fit?

One conversation with you and your leadership team to see whether the audit is the right fit for your business. Nothing is signed on the call.

  1. 1
The north star metric. The one metric you want moved: revenue, profit, or hours saved. One, not three.
  2. 2
The core processes.A first list of every core process in the business, who owns it, and roughly how much of it there is. We build this with you on the call, and it is how we choose where the two weeks go.
  3. 3
The 3 to 4 that matter most.Which processes carry the most manual work against that metric, and who runs them.
  4. 4
The systems they run on.What you pay for today and who administers it, so we know what the reviews can look at.
  5. 5
The two weeks.Whether the calendar works for you and the owners, and whether the fee and terms make sense for the size of the opportunity.

Questions we get asked

Do you need access to our systems?
Read-only, and as little as possible. Most of it is a screen shared in a process review or an export you send us. Where a login is needed it is read-only and removed when we finish. Nothing is installed or changed.
Is implementation included?
No. This is an audit. The roadmap carries the technical requirements a builder needs to start, so the build can be quoted as a fixed-price phase, by us or by anyone you choose. If you build with us within 90 days of the findings presentation, the full audit fee comes off the first phase.
Do we have to use you to build it?
No. The report, the roadmap, the process documentation and the systems inventory are yours. The roadmap is written so your own team can execute it, and it works just as well with another partner.
How much of my team’s time does this take?
It depends on the business. Plan on about two hours from you, at kickoff and at the findings presentation, and a working session with each of the 3 to 4 process owners in week one. Some reviews run longer, and sometimes we need to meet more people. When that happens we do it, and we do not charge for it. We aim to be thorough with the least disruption to your team’s day.
Our processes are not written down. Is that a problem?
No, that is the normal case. The process review works from how the work is actually done, on the last real instance of it, and the documentation becomes the first written version.
What if you find nothing?
Every process we review is in the report with what we found and why it does not move the north star metric, which is worth knowing. And if, at the end of the findings presentation, you do not believe the audit was worth the fee, tell us within five business days and we will refund it in full. You keep the report and the roadmap.
What happens after the findings presentation?
Nothing you have not decided. Your team executes the roadmap, or you scope a build phase with us, or you stop there. All three are fine outcomes, and the report is the same in each case.
Why only 3 to 4 processes?
Because two weeks cannot review everything, and reviewing everything is not how you find the value. Every core process goes in the inventory. The 3 to 4 that matter most to the north star metric get reviewed in depth. If the first round earns it, a second round is scoped the same way.
