What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, who handles it, and how to ask us to see or delete it.

Who we are
This site is run by Automated Bots, in Denver, Colorado. When this page says we, us or our, it means Automated Bots.
What we collect
- When you visit any page: our host, Vercel, receives your IP address and basic browser details, as every website host does, to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse.
- When you send a message: your name, work email, company, team size, how you heard about us and your message.
- When you book a call: what you enter in the Calendly booking calendar, such as your name, your email and the time you pick, and which of our links brought you there.
- When you sign up for emails, once the email signup launches: your email address.
- Only if you say yes to analytics: how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, the site that sent you, your rough location, your device and browser type, how you move through a page, including session recordings, and whether you booked a call.
Why we use it
To answer your message, to run the calls you book, to send the emails you asked for, to keep the site secure, to see which of our links bring booked calls, and, if you say yes to analytics, to see which pages help and which do not.
Who handles it for us
- Vercel hosts this site, receives your message when you send the form, and checks form messages to keep out unknown bots. If you say yes to analytics, Vercel also counts page views, without cookies, and measures how fast pages load.
- Supabase stores the messages you send through the form.
- Google Workspace runs our email, where a copy of each message arrives so we can answer it.
- Calendly runs the booking calendar for us and holds the details of the calls you book.
- YouTube (Google) plays Dr. Nick’s video. The video loads from YouTube only if you play it.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measure how the site is used, only if you say yes to analytics. Google says Analytics uses your IP address to find your rough location and discards it after use. We connect Clarity to Google Analytics, so the two share data about the same visits. If you book a call, Google Analytics records that a booking happened, without your name or email.
- Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools show us which searches bring people to this site. They do not set cookies on this site.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of text a website saves in your browser, so it can recognize the same browser later. This site uses three kinds: the first is always on, the second comes with our booking calendar, and the third is off until you say yes. YouTube sets a fourth kind only if you play Dr. Nick’s video.
- Necessary: they keep the site working, such as remembering your cookie choice. Always on.
- Booking calendar: Calendly’s calendar sets Calendly’s own cookies when it loads. Calendly says it uses them to “understand website interactions (including clicks, cursor movement and screen recordings), and for marketing.” The calendar loads as you come near it on Book a call and on the Free AI ROI audit page.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies to measure how the site is used, and Clarity lets Microsoft set its own cookies too. Off until you say yes.
Change your answer any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you change it to no, we stop the analytics tools and delete their cookies on this site. Cookies that Microsoft, Calendly or YouTube set on their own web addresses stay until they expire or you clear them in your browser.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ab_consent | Automated Bots | Remembers your cookie choice | 1 year |
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor’s visits apart from another’s | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | Up to 2 years |
_clck | Microsoft Clarity | Keeps the same Clarity visitor ID on this site | Not stated on Microsoft’s cookie page |
_clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Joins page views into one session recording | Not stated on Microsoft’s cookie page |
CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, SM, SRM_B | Microsoft, on its own web addresses | Microsoft’s own cookies for Clarity. Microsoft says MUID is “used for advertising, site analytics, and other operational purposes” | Not stated on Microsoft’s cookie page |
| Calendly’s cookies | Calendly | Run the booking calendar, plus Calendly’s own analytics and marketing. The calendar also loads Stripe, Calendly’s payment provider, which sets its own cookie for fraud prevention | See Calendly’s privacy notice |
| YouTube’s cookies | YouTube (Google) | Only if you play Dr. Nick’s video | See Google’s privacy notice |
Through their own cookies, Microsoft, Calendly and YouTube may collect information about your activity over time and across other websites, under their own policies.
The dark mode switch keeps your choice in your browser until you close the tab. It never leaves your browser.
We do not use cookies to advertise to you. Some of Microsoft’s, Calendly’s and YouTube’s own cookies, listed above, serve their own advertising and marketing.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common standard for it, so this site does not change what it does when it gets one. Your cookie choice is what turns analytics on or off.
How long we keep it
- Messages: as long as we need them to answer you and follow up. Ask through the contact form and we delete them.
- Bookings: as long as we need them to run and follow up on your call. Calendly holds them for us, as our service provider. Ask through the contact form, and we delete what we hold and ask Calendly to delete the rest.
- Visit logs: our host, Vercel, keeps its logs of visits to this site for one day.
- Analytics, only if you said yes: Google Analytics keeps detailed visit data for 14 months, and its summary reports longer. Microsoft Clarity keeps session recordings for 30 days; after that it keeps 10 recordings a day, or 1% of recordings if that is more, plus any we save, for up to 9 months, and it keeps heatmaps for 9 months. Vercel’s page view counts are anonymized; the daily visitor ID behind them is discarded after 24 hours, and its reports go back 12 months.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We set Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity so they do not pass your data to their advertising products.
Your choices
Change your cookie choice any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, send us a message through the contact form. Every message gets an answer within the hour.
